Oooooooohhhh.

I spent the early morning hours of December 1st crouched over the toilet. Not a pretty picture. At around 4 yesterday afternoon, I had a faint headache that escalated into a full blown migraine by evening, complete with the throbbing head and the upset stomach. Mountain Dew didn’t help. Neither did coffee. Nor did Gatorade do its job. The only thing that worked was, yes, me puking four times over a three hour period.

And it wasn’t even anything I ate, since the last thing I ate was at noon yesterday. At least, I don’t think it was what I ate. NB seems fine, even though he had some of what I did. Then again, his stomach’s pretty much made out of cast iron, so…

Had to cancel this morning’s class since I wasn’t so sure if I could hold class without losing the pathetic contents in my stomach in front of my student. Heh, that’s one way to scare them off, eh? But I’ve got another class at 3, which I simply can’t afford to cancel. She’s a stickler for punctuality and besides I already used my “Get out of Class Free” card that I have for each student. But after that, I don’t think I have anything, thank god. I don’t think I could stand having another class, especially with this lingering headache.

So…goal for today: write 2k of Chase the Wind. I’ve decided something. If I can pull this off while sick, then I can basically do anything I put my mind to.

Ain’t that for damn sure.

And no, I still haven’t gone Christmas shopping yet. It’s a darn good thing it’s not so big here in Korea than back in the States. Which…probably doesn’t affect me overtly since I usually handmake my gifts, anyways.
